INTERNATIONAL
BORIS THE CAT AWARD
non-profit organization
A brief history of how it all started and what does Boris the cat have to do with it
The reading will take about two minutes.
Ten years ago, on a cold October day when the winter snowstorm was still raging outside, a friend of ours came to visit and told us about his visit to an animal shelter. His story was so emotional that his heart ached with compassion for the unfortunate creatures. And our cat Boris, who was present at the time, looked at us with such sympathy as if he understood what we were talking about. Of course, if he could, he would have helped them, if only he did more than just eating, sleeping and lazing around, but also worked.
Then our friend left, and we remained thinking about how to help the poor animals. At that moment, someone among us said, "Let's create Boris the cat Award!" Thus began the story of a non-profit organization that helps those who cannot defend themselves.
In 2013, we began providing assistance to animal shelters. The idea of the Prize was so popular among our friends that we awarded it 17 times that year. The following year, we decided not to limit our assistance to animals only and began awarding the Prize to children's homes and shelters. We understood that many of them did not even have basic amenities, even televisions. Since then, every year, Boris the cat awards various household appliances to children's institutions.

Our
Friends
Our work would not be possible without the support and collaboration of wonderful organizations that share our values and help us move forward. We are proud to call these partners our friends:
Support Us and Be Part of a Good Cause!
Our organization primarily operates on its own resources. We have an industrial embroidery machine, a professional textile printer, and equipment for making custom pins and badges. Together with our friends, we previously produced holistic cat food "Boris’s Dream" and chocolate "Boriska."
While both the food and chocolate are temporarily out of production, we are preparing for a relaunch in the summer of 2025.
Even with our own resources, we welcome your contribution to our shared mission of kindness. More donations mean more opportunities to help!
Beyond donations, we are excited to welcome new members to our family. Starting in 2025, the International Boris the Cat Award will become a membership-based organization, and we are currently preparing the necessary legal and structural changes. You can apply for membership now, and starting January 1, 2025, you’ll automatically become part of Boris the Cat’s big family.
